40 phrases to make your child feel happier

All of the following phrases are simple, you might say they’re even obvious, but there’s an important psychological reason for asking every one of them. In using them with your children, you express your love and respect, your appreciation of their successes, and your sympathy when things go wrong.

We believe every parent will find them useful.

  1. I’m proud of you. Even if you weren’t such a wonderful child, I would still be proud of you.
  2. I believe in you.
  3. I know that we haven’t talked to each other much recently. But I want you to know that I accept you as you are, and it’s not important whether I agree with you on things or not.
