What is life? It is a certain amount of time spent by a person, facing the enormous number of problems, every now and then. No one in this entire world can claim that he is not facing any issues in his life and is living happily. Everyone faces some kinds of problems and is deemed to face until he dies.

Everyone, at some point in time in his life, experiences and goes through ups and downs. Some face the death of a loved one; some fails an exam. The stress levels of any of the aforementioned are always there to some extent. Everyone perceives a different problem at hand differently. Some are mentally strong and have the courage to face the consequences; some might not have the patience and end up committing suicide. Thus, life is not easy to live; it is always a difficult thing to handle.

As people face different issues in their lives, they fell trapped of anxiety, apprehension, fear, and depression. Although there are different ways to curb it, following them strictly is next to impossible.

Evidently, it is true that one cannot completely eliminate the effects of the stress but one, for sure, reduce them. As advancement in technology and industrialization have made our lives easier to endeavour, the medical science has made some of the important ways to help people reduce their stress levels and anxiety. Following are the ways to cope up with anxiety.

1-    Exercise, Exercise, and Exercise: Exercise helps people to fight depression and anxiety. When someone is in practice of exercising, the blood circulation in one’s whole body makes him feel refreshed. Furthermore, there is this chemical named, dopamine- the satisfaction element- which is released after the person indulges himself in exercise. This method is always proven beneficial as it helps people reduce stress levels. Thus, people must not hesitate to keep themselves busy in any type of exercise.

2-    Meditation: Meditation is a process when a person concentrates on one thing in silence in a room for a certain period of time. While being in a state of concentration, the person keeps aside his issues at hand and focuses attentively. It is one of the scientifically proven tricks which helps people alleviating the stress levels.

3–    Visit a place: This is my favorite. Sometimes, people need some time to stay away from all the workload at offices and at home and go to a place worthy of the visit. A person can choose to go alone. However, going out to a place for a few days with friends would not be a bad idea either. The best places to visit are the ones that are connected to nature, for example, the places where there are big mountains with a beautiful scenery, large trees filled with greenery would enhance the view of beauty.

4-    Get proper sleep: when one is in anxiety and feels depressed and visits a doctor, the first question that a person is asked is about the sleeping hours. This is one of the basic things that need to be focused upon strictly. People tend to sleep on time and as a result feel depressed and in a state of anxiety. A person must sleep for 8 hours and most importantly, the fact that utilizing the night hours especially would be of more benefit. The latest research states that people who are indulged in their night shift jobs are more prone to get anxious. It is of dire need that people need to understand this basic concept utilizing the work during day hours and sleeping at night. Thus, not getting enough sleep and that too at night is the main issue that needs to focus.

5-    Accept the anxiety: Sometimes, accepting the mere fact that you are anxious about something and there is no the solution to it, you might feel relieved. There is always a solution to every problem, and accepting that every problem cannot be solved is one of them. So, next time you feel anxious or even ask yourself ‘treatment for anxiety’, accepting it is one of them to curb it effectively.

6-    World does not care: Sometimes, stress levers are increased just because of a mere thought: “what would world think of us. The world does not care whether you are alive or not, or do you even exist. Merely, the world will go on, the works will be done in the same manner as had been done previously. If you die, the world will mourn for few days and will return to the same state as if nothing has ever happened. Do not care about what world would think and say, instead focus on your own work?

7-    Know that feelings are not facts: Every time you feel depressed or feel like the world is over, know that the feelings are not permanent, but they are only the outcomes of your own thinking. The feelings you experience are just temporary and will be over soon. Remember, time is the only solution to every problem, it is a remedy to every problem you face. No matter how worst the situation be, how worst the issue is, it will pass over. It will not remain there forever.

8–    Be extrovert and meet people. Human beings, by nature, are extrovert and remain exalted when meeting people. Try to attend a gathering, even if you don’t want to. Apparently, it may seem difficult to go to relatives, but try to be optimistic and visit your relatives most often. Once you go over and meet, you will soon realize how beautiful the relationships are. It will, however, prove to be the best to overcome the feeling of anxiety.

Conclusion: Try to visit a psychologist every now and then and look for treatment for anxiety. Accept the very fact that life cannot be full of fun, it has to be of issues, problems, anxiety, and depression. Anxiety is part of life and will be there every now and then. Life is a gift and you are bestowed with it once, try to live every moment of life with passion, bliss, and excitement.
